Her thesis was awarded the ‘Top Student Abstract and Presentation‘ at the European Conference on Health Communication (ECHC) 2021.

Alongside her studies, she was a student research assistant for the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR). As part of the Communication, Brain, and Society Lab team, she assisted on field experiment examining the effects of tailored media messages on interpersonal communication about physical activity and -related behavior. She also worked as a research assistant at the Amsterdam UMC, location AMC where she assisted on a ZonMw funded project aimed at developing shared-decision making tools to prevent medication-related falls in older adults.

During the last phase of her Master’s, she received a grant with a PhD proposal she wrote alongside her supervision team. This allowed her to conduct a three-year PhD project at the Amsterdam UMC (2021-2024). The project is a collaboration with VeiligheidNL, GGD Amsterdam and primary health care professionals in Amsterdam to develop and implement a tailored fall risk screening and assessment tool in practice aimed at reducing fall incidences in older adults.
