Research: I am a multidisciplinary PhD student at the ACHC, the Centre for Urban Mental Health, the Department of Developmental Psychology, and the Department of Psychological Methods at the University of Amsterdam. I study the complex interactions that give rise to addiction, depression and anxiety and new methods to translate this knowledge to the development of personalized clinical practice and tailored communication during therapy, integrating personalized complex models such as personalized networks and more simple descriptive statistics into psychotherapy. Current research topics include: the feasibility of personalized networks for tailored health communication and personalized therapy; the development and testing of a personalized monitoring and feedback protocol for the treatment of addiction and its integration into cognitive behavioral therapy; the improvement of shared decision making and therapist-client communication through personalized monitoring and feedback during psychotherapy; the dynamics of addiction and comorbid depression and anxiety.
