Published on January 17 2018 – Nynke van der Laan received a Creative industry-KIEM grant from the NWO to develop and test a virtual reality game to foster healthy food choices. The KIEM funding instrument is intended to set up a longer-term collaboration between researchers and private partners. This is fostered through the formulation of a research project with a short duration.
In this one year project, a virtual reality game will be developed with realistic virtual foods and it will be assessed whether interaction with virtual foods decreases subsequent food intake similarly as real foods do.
The project is a collaboration with the Utrecht virtual reality design studio VR Owl.
