A meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials on fruit and vegetable intake

Understanding the extent to which what communication strategies are effective to change fruit and vegetable intake is relevant for public health, as sufficient intake of fruit and vegetables has substantial beneficial effects for health. This meta-analysis will summarize and meta-analyse the literature from 1980 to 2014 on this issue. Inclusion criteria are (a) randomized allocation to control or experimental condition(s), (b) successful manipulation and temporal change of independent variables, (c) at least one follow-up measure of independent variables, and (d) at least one follow-up measure of fruit and/or vegetable intake.
