Gepubliceerd op 06 juni 2017 – ACHC onderzoekers hebben diverse prijzen gewonnen tijdens de conferentie van de International Communication Association (ICA) van 25 tot 29 mei 2017 in San Diego. Corine Meppelink ontving de “Abby Prestin Dissertation of the Year Award” van de Health Communication divisions van de ICA en de National Communication Association (NCA) voor haar proefschrift getiteld “Designing Digital Health Information in a Health Literacy Context”. Van dezelfde divisies kreeg Remco Sanders de “Amanda L. Kundrat Thesis of the Year Award” uitgereikt voor zijn master thesis “Consulting the Internet before a Consultation”. Tot slot wonnen Nadine Bol en Julia van Weert, samen met Camella Rising van de George Mason University in Fairfax, US, een “Top Paper award in Health Communication” voor hun artikel “Perceived Emotional and Informational Support for Cancer: Patients’ Perspectives About Interpersonal versus Media Sources”.
